Guitarists are using effects pedals to make guitar sound more interesting. This is very common and used basically on every track of music that you listen (or at every live performance). Our vision is to create series of guitar effects pedals which can be controllable with any phone or tablet. This simplifies the usability of guitar pedals and adds extra value of saving parameters therefore making presets available. The presets can then be exchanged and / or sold to the users later on.
This opens up a wide range of new possibilities – even sound engineers will be able to change the sound from a distance.
We will be using bluetooth as a communication link between the effects pedals and a smart device. At the TehnoHack event we are planning to mostly deal with software design – create the app for controlling the pedals and writing the embedded code for pedals to handle the communication.
Knowledge needed to team: Android / iOS programmers, embedded system programmers.
